Brigitte Aphrodite's Big Canterbury Opa
This event is a variety show called Brigitte Aphrodite’s Big Canterbury Opa, co-produced with, and commissioned by 1Degree East.
The Opa is a show full of love, warmth, Kent queer joy, laughing and boogie-ing wonder! I lovingly ask people I adore the work of to play. It’s a lot of fun, and it has accessibility at its core! The venue is Gulbenkian Arts Centre in Canterbury, and this event is part of South by South East Festival 2024.
The date is Thurs 2nd May, and the Opa will be the big closing finale extravaganza in the evening, time TBC. (Last year this was 7.30pm so may be a similar time.)
There will probably be a quick sound / line check before the event, timing TBC. (Last year this was from 6.15pm.)
There will be an interval (roughly 15 minutes).
The night should be all wrapped up by 10pm.
